With this title, La Voz de Galicia has published an article on the project developed by the Aliad Ultreia association in collaboration with the UDC ECIGAL and the USC SEPA-interea research groups, financed by La Caixa Welfare Projects. According to Paula Polo, the educational coordinator, this Sociocultural Improvement Plan aims to enhance the real participation of people to improve the context in which they live, generate links and create community. Thus the prison community radio LibreMente, the Open Classrooms and the initiatives of opening to the community, contribute in this new phase of the Plan (initiated in 2011) to increasing the educational opportunities of the prison.
