The Galician NGDO Coordination opens the call for the third edition of the Galician Award for Development Education and Global Citizenship with the aim of recognising transformative educational experiences that promote solidarity, critical citizenship and commitment to the construction of a just world.
Who can apply for the Award?
Teachers or teaching teams from Galician schools and universities, whether public, subsidized or private, officially recognized by the Regional Ministry of Education, are eligible to apply.
Three educational experiences, projects or pedagogical initiatives carried out during the 2022/2023 and/or 2023/2024 school year will receive an award in three categories:
• Category A: Early Childhood and Primary Education.
• Category B: Secondary obligatory and post-obligatory Education, Special and Artistic Education Centres.
• Category C: University education.

This edition of the award includes a 10-day trip to Guatemala with expenses covered for 2 teachers from each of the winning initiatives in each category, where they will be able to get to know an international cooperation project and the work carried out in the field by Galician Cooperation
